Indians with BJP caps throng the streets in a 1990's election year in India. Other wear Congress caps. Lots of chants of Zindabad and much electioneering follows. Officials meanwhile tabulate the ballots received. This was in paper ballot days pre EVM days (Electronic Voting Machine). A woman walks into the election center and gets a black mark of permanent India ink placed on her finger nail, and follows to place her paper ballot in the ballot box, after marking per choice on it.
