Om Jai Jagdish is not a devotional music album but a Hindi film associated with a talented star cast. The mahurat ceremony of the film took place in Mehmood studio. The star cast of the film includes Anil Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Tabu, Urmila Matondkar and debutant Miss Asia Pacific, Dia Mirza. However, the biggest news associated with this film is that Anupam Kher is not acting but directing the film. Abhishek Bachchan says "Mr Kher is family to me and more importantly he is my Guru. Most of what I know in acting is due to him amongst two three other people and I am extremely excited for him, this is his first film as a director."
