An apple picker picks apples from the trees in an orchard in Gulab Bagh area of Gandherbal district near Srinagar. The apple picking season in Kashmir lasts from the beginning of October to the beginning of November. Gulab Bagh is one of the closest places to Srinagar apart from Budgam to see apple orchards.
