In India its not just street food but the drinks that are in abundance at the roadsides and footpaths. A sugarcane juice vendor is busy juicing fresh juice and thirsty customers flowing in. This is an archival shot of Mumbai or Bombay in the 1990's, with street folks drinking ganne ka ras on the streets. Sugarcane juice is a preferred drink in the hot summers mixed with lime and rock salts. One will find vending stations but with real vendors toiling in the hot sun.
