The Kingdom of Bhutan is a small landlocked nation. Jigme Singye Wangchuck was the fourth Druk Gyalpo, who became the King of Bhutan in 1972 and ruled the country till his abdication in 2006. Bhutan annually celebrates Coronation Day of Fourth Druk Gyalpo on June 2. This public holiday is one of the major holidays in Bhutan. This was filmed On 2 June 1999, the twenty-fifth anniversary of King Jigme Singye Wangchuck's coronation. The king with Je Khenpo (The Chief Abbot of the Central Monastic Body of Bhutan) and other Khenpo’s attended a Thongdrel (Large religious image).
