The Mukteshwar assignable to the middle of the 9th century A.D. is one of the most refined temples in Orissa on account of its elegant proportions and delicate carvings. The temple of Siddheshwar, approximately datable to 10th century A.D. has a typical Orissa form in the developed features of the component. Mukteswar and Siddheswar, India dates back to the 10th century and stands as a significant transition point between the early and the later phases of the Kalinga School of temple architecture. Of these temples Mukteswar temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is considered to be one of the crowning glories of the Orissan architecture.
