As the Nou-Puruxor Shraddha starts, an elder of the family performs the rites for the Shraddha and prays to the elders to grace the wedding. Nou- Puruxor Shraddha is the ceremony to respect and pray to the nine generations of elders in the family. It is performed on the wedding morning. The hustle bustle and the grandeur of the 'Biya Ghor' remains a constant throughout all the rituals spanning over a few days. 'Biya Ghor' is the place where the wedding is conducted.
