Thousands on the streets of Mumbai participate in the Queer Azaadi Mumbai Pride March in 2008 displaying the rainbow colours now synonymous with the LGBTQ community's movement for awareness and end of discrimination and homophobia. The Mumbai Pride March is organised every year since 2005 as a celebration of individuals of the LGBTQ community and their demand for freedom to express themselves.
