A Bhutan Salassa or Salassa bhutanensis lying on the ground in Bhutan. This is a newly discovered species so wildfilmsindia brings you rare footage from the field. Filmed at 9000 feet above the Paro valley in Bhutan. It belongs to the Saturniidae family of the order Lepidoptera. A higher classification of these moths is called as hawk moths. Moths are nocturnal in nature and are perched in the underside of leaves etc in the daytime.
