A traditional Baraat, the groom's wedding procession at a North Indian wedding. Family members, relatives, and friends accompany the groom as they make their way to the wedding venue while dancing to the music played by the wedding band. The procession features a Band Baaja with musicians dressed in matching ceremonial uniforms and red turbans. The band plays traditional wedding music using brass instruments and drums as the baraatis dance through the streets. Large decorative ceremonial umbrellas (chhatar or abdagiri) with embroidered fabric, hanging fringes, and colourful lights are carried by attendants throughout the procession.
