The Dargah of Ajmer Sharif witnesses a footfall of around 1 lakh devotees every day, bringing along with them flowers and 'chadar' to decorate the Sanctum Sanctorum of the Saint Moinuddin Chisti. The entrance of the Sanctorum is decorated with shiny metal artwork on the walls. For those who cannot go to Mecca, the Dargah is considered as holy as well. The Urs festival is an annual festival held at Ajmer, a city in the Indian state of Rajasthan, which commemorates the death anniversary of the Sufi saint Moinuddin Chishti, (founder of the Chishtiya Sufi order in India).
