A black day in history of Nepal thousands of people left homeless, more than 8000 killed and more than 10000 injured. Hundreds of dead bodies were cremated at the bank of Bagmati river. All get together for rescue operation. Famous heritage sites like the Dharahara tower, Basantapur Darbur square, Bhaktapur Darbur Square are now covered with rubble and debris. Dead bodies are recovered from beneath the collapsed buildings. The 2015 Nepal earthquake (also known as the Gorkha earthquake), which killed more than 7,000 people and injured more than twice as many, occurred at 11:56 NST on 25 April, with a moment magnitude (Mw) of 7.8Mw or 8.1Ms and a maximum Mercalli Intensity of IX (Violent).
