This is the capital - Delhi's first fully automated multi-level car parking at Sarojini Nagar Market. Known as 'South Square' the state of the art parking lot was built at a cost of Rs. 80 crores under the public private partnership. It was opened to the public by the Union Urban Development Minister Mr. Kamal Nath and Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit in the presence of Union Sports Minister Ajay Maken. The multi-level parking area is fully automated with car lifts, pallets and computerised control systems that will be operational 24X7. Up to 824 vehicles can be accommodated in the parking lot. To use the parking one needs to buy a 'car park card, drive inside and leave the car at the basement, from here the car is automatically taken for parking to the parking area.
