All Indian Hindu Mahasabha leader Sadhvi Deva Thakur surrendered before a local court in Karnal, Haryana after she and her associates had fired a few rounds from her revolver in the air leading to death of one person during a wedding ceremony. In a celebratory firing had led to the death of one person and injury of four others. The police had booked Deva Thakur along with her gunmen and associates. The incident occurred at Savitri Marriage Palace in Karnal. Deva Thakur, along with six to seven persons, came to attend the ceremony. All of them were carrying arms.
