Group of birds in Ladakh. The Pied Magpie is eating flesh from the dead yak, as is the wild cat, but the group of Chukor (Alectoris chukar) partridge are just roaming around the fields, looking for grain and grass seeds. Nestled between the Kunlun Mountain ranges and the Himalayas, Ladakh boasts of innumerable vistas ranging from lakes to mountains and valleys.
