An Amazing Jhumar, a most prominent of folk dances of Jharkhand during 31st Surajkund craft mela in Faridabad, Haryana. A group of male dancers wearing colourful costume performs dance, the dancers move around in circles with the musical instrument drum placed at the center. The melodious tunes are sung by the dancers during the dance and they are using various instruments like kartal, bansuri, dhol and sangi apart from the drum. This dance is performed mainly during the harvest season. The harvest season is usually accompanied with the monsoon season i.e. from August to September. It mainly portrays the happy lives of the tribal folk. Jhumar or Jhoomar is a lively form of music and dance that originated in the Multan and Balochistan.
