For most commuters in Bombay, this clickety-clack sound would mean that home is near, and thus be a comforting sound! Life takes place on and off the railway tracks in Bombay. Slums are situated right up to the tracks, people walk on and off them just as trains have left or are due to arrive, millions use the trains to commute to work and back home in the distant and far less expensive suburbs.
