Inside a workshop in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, India, an artisan wearing a protective face mask carefully removes a flexible fibreglass-reinforced rubber mould from a newly cast sculpture. The mould-making process enables craftsmen to reproduce complex architectural forms and decorative details with high accuracy. Rows of stacked moulds throughout the workshop illustrate the scale of production and the variety of designs being manufactured.
