It is said that Ravan's wife Mandodari hailed from the area of Mandore and there is also a temple dedicated to Ravan in this small town near Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Until 1459 AD, when Rao Jodha shifted the Marwari capital to Jodhpur city, Mandore was the capital of the kingdom of Marwar. At Mandore Gardens, one can visit many temples, chhatris and cenotaphs. A tour of the heritage and architectural beauty in Mandore Gardens in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. This garden is a major tourist attraction in Jodhpur.
