See the billowing black and grey smoke clouds of chemical as an industrial shed storing and containing dangerous chemicals catches fire in South Delhi's Asola village. With no restrictions or controls on the use of village lands for commercial and industrial activities, one could well see the next Chernobyl taking place right here in the heart of New Delhi! This was truly a close shave, as the godown spewed millions of liters of spurious chemical fumes into the spring air one New Delhi afternoon. This incident went unnoticed by prime time media and only wildfilmsindia cover the same, in order to highlight the dangers of such industrial activity in a residential neighbourhood. The godown had no fire safety planning, no escape route, and no access for fire tenders. Needless to say, this was
