C.S.I. St. Paul's Church is one of the very old Anglican churches in Chennai. The church clebrated its 150th anniversary in 2008. C.S.I. St. Paul's Church is one of the most oldest and prestigious Churches in Chennai City (existing for the past 150 years). St. Paul's Church is located in the mids of Vepery, Choolai and Purasawalkam areas in Chennai. This place is very familiar in Indian history, the Great Indian King Tipu Sultan fought the “Karnataka War” against the English East Indian Company's army in the areas of Purasawalkam and Vepery to stop the English expansion into these areas. During the time of Robert Clive the war became intense and Tipu Sultan lost the war but caused heavy damage to the English Company's Army. The St. Paul's Church was opened for worship on 19th of September
