For millions of years, mankind has been on the quest for adequate food and shelter on the doorsteps of the next millennium this search still continues. At the dawn of independence, India pledges to herself to build a roof over every head. Infrastructural problems, population and disequilibrium of income did not allow this pledge to become a reality.
