Pedestrians crossing Sonepur bridge. There are two broad pathways for pedestrians, along this bridge. Sonepur a small town located in the district of Saran, Bihar is famous for hosting one of the largest cattle fair in Asia know as the Sonepur Mela. The Mela attracts large number of tourists from across India and abroad. Sonepur is a divisional headquarter of Indian Railways. It has large railway tracks and a number of railway quarters. Its is 2176 feet long and is built with eight spans of 250 feet.
