Once this game was famous in India but with the passage of time people loose their interest in badminton. "The standard was increased when the game became the Olympic sport. The standard of small countries was also increased and we left behind. We are trying from past 2-3 years to fill this gap." Aparna Popat, Badminton player speaks about badminton in India. She says, "Within 2-3 years the badminton will be coming up and If there is more exposure for the juniors as well as seniors I think we can do well at the international level too."
