An aerial top view of Ghoramara Island in Sundarbans: quickly disappearing due to erosion and sea level rise. Low lying area by the sea with ships, boats and cargo vessels moored close at hand, lots of rice paddies and paddy fields proliferate in the wet ground, and human settements can be seen at regular intervals in between the agricultural fields. a small path along a dyke at the edge of the island will likely do little to protect it from the effects of climate change and sea level rise, over the next few years.
