Late spring snowfall isn't really unseasonal. Occasional snow storms are expected in late spring. The snow fall is so thick that the crystals are accumulating mid-air and falling as thick foam, almost! What a lovely sight from the high mountains, with the Rhododendron shrubbery turning to a blanket of white.
