Roti making plant at Golden Temple! A worker in the kitchens uses a large karchi with a long rod to mix the aata or dough. The prepared atta is taken out of dekchis and introduced into the roti making machine. The ready rotis or flat breads are then carried on a conveyor belt after being pressed through rollers, and are then cooked uniformly and after puffing out they are taken out on another conveyor belt, straight onto the plates and into the hands of devotees who attend the langar or free meal scheme at the Golden Temple.
