With the death of the telegram, will the P&T department henceforth be called the Postal Department only with no mention of the Telegraph? Romance, as a concept seems too abstract compared to science and technology. Technology has always kept a fast pace ever since science took over from the ideas of religion and magic. From inventions of the industrial revolution to the electronic revolution of the 1980's, even up to the cloud technologies that we are seeing in our world today, it has been a fast ride, no doubt. In the year 1837, American artist turned inventor Samuel F. B. Morse conducted an experiment that was going to revolutionize the way man communicated with distant lands.
