In the protest against globalization and privatization, nearly 7 lakh bank employees from all over the country were on strike. It is worth mentioning that in this strike insurance workers were included along with the officers of foreign banks. A bank employee says "I work in a foreign bank and I get paid salary for the work that I do. We are not against that but our issue is related to the nation just like their banks are in our country similarly ours is in their country. However, our banks have a lot of restrictions in a foreign country due to which our banks fail in generating profit abroad but foreign banks gain a lot of profit in India.
