Ganga is a Murrah buffalo. Eight years ago she gave birth to a hybrid bull named Yuvraj. The present value of Yuvraj is around nine crore and 25 lacs. She produced around 17 litres of milk when she was young. The Murrah, a basic native of the Indian states of Punjab and Haryana and Punjab state of Pakistan, is a Water buffalo breed (Bubalus bubalis) and is considered as the foremost milking buffalo. For improving the milk productivity of dairy buffaloes, Murrah bulls are widely used in countries like Bulgaria, Italy and Egypt. The total overseas trade of India in dairy animals undoubtedly provides an immense economical fillip to the breeders of Murrah bull/buffalo.
