Shiamak Davar, Indian choreographer wins an award for best choreography at Siemens Movie Verdict at Taj Palace in the year 1998. Zimbabwean cricketer Heath Streak presents the award to Shiamak Davar. Shiamak Davar speaks about Siemens Movie Verdict Award. He says, "Yash Chopra put his faith in me and I want to dedicate this award to him." Singer, choreographer, performing artist Shiamak Davar is known as the “Guru of Dance” in India. He is largely responsible for modernizing India’s dance scene, especially in the film and theatre industry. Davar has choreographed several Indian actors and celebrities for film and stage, including Shahid Kapoor, Ruslaan Mumtaz, Shubha and Darsheel Safary. He is credited with introducing Western forms of dance to India; he himself created Shiamak's Indo-Jazz
