Pushkar Fair - this word conjures up a plethora of images like beautifully decorated camels, opulent palaces, rolling sand dunes, unique handicrafts, pristine lakes and sumptuous delicacies. The annual eight-day Pushkar Mela is organized between October to November in the enchanting town of Pushkar that is located about 11 km from the city of Ajmer. This vibrant fest is undoubtedly a quintessential presentation of the rich cultural heritage of Rajasthan. The stars of the fair are the magnificently adorned camels that captivate the attention of the tourists.
