Jawalakhel Handicraft Center in Kathmandu in Nepal. Jawalakhel Handicraft Center is also known as Tibetan refugee camp. It is a Tibetan carpet factory in Nepal. One can see Tibetan carpets on display at the showroom. There are three qualities of the carpets which is 100 knots, 80 knots and 60 knots and their price is determined by the quality. In the JHC camp more than 1000 Tibetans are settled and out of this, we directly employ about 500 Tibetans are engaged in different process of carpet production like Wool sorting, Hand Brushing & Spinning of yarn, Dyeing, Ball Winding, Weaving, Trimming & Finishing etc. The Production Process is closely monitored on ever stages to produce the finest piece of Tibetan Hand-Woven Carpet.
