On a clear monsoon day, there is a certain foreboding feel to an aerial view of this riverine island. Ghoramara Island in West Bengal is sinking due to rising sea levels, and may disappear due to climate change. See this aerial view of the Island in the Sunderbans region. Ghoramara Island is an island 92 km south of Kolkata, India in the Sundarban Delta complex of the Bay of Bengal.
