The Common Castor (Ariadne merione) ranges widely across India including Delhi, favoring scrublands, forest edges, and gardens as a resident species on host plants like castor leaves. Both lycaenid and nymphalid butterflies thrive in Delhi habitats, frequently seen feeding on nectar from flowering plants.
