Students of the Yamini Krishnamurthy are determined to carry the country's cultural heritage on their shoulders. Yamini started Bharatnatyam, which came out of the temples of south India, as a movement and it still continues. Yamini Krishnamurthy says "Our movement is to accept as many dancers as possible and we are also teaching around 30 to 40 underprivileged students who might not get this opportunity ever. My mission is to ensure that every household has a dancer and this is what I aim to achieve." Yamini Krishnamurthy, Yamini 'Poornatilaka' Krishnamurthy, better known as Yamini Krishnamurthy is a renowned Kuchipudi and Bharatnatyam dancer.
