Kuwa making in India. Water well being dug by labourers. As the labourers make their way into the underground bedrock of a Himalayan granitic strata of the Tal and Krol Formation from the Pre Cambrian era. The well maker rapels / descends into the well using a jute rope, and then has to battle the water that is streaming in from the rock strata at the bottom. He uses a drill to break more rock and descend further. Once that has been done, he starts lining the well with baked bricks and brings the circular brick lining to the surface and thus caps off the well with a metal grate. And we're in water clover!
