United Arab Emirates contingent leads India’s 68th Republic Day Parade at Rajpath in New Delhi. India’s 68th Republic Day parade has been a spectacular exhibition of the country’s military, cultural, and technological achievements. This year a 149-member contingent of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) armed forces also joined the parade to honour chief guest Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed al Nahyan. The UAE contingent led the march behind the parade commander, his second-in-command and this year’s batch of winners of the gallantry awards. This is also the first time an Arab nation joined the parade and second foreign military after the French contingent last year.
