Victory at Sea War Memorial was built in the year 1996 to commemorate the Victory of Indian Navy's Eastern Naval Command(ENC) headquartered at Visakhapatnam in 1971 against Pakistan Navy. ENC successfully sank Pakistani Submarine, Ghazi in 1971, which ventured into the territorial waters in an attempt to attack the Naval base in Vizag during the Indo-Pak war. The Victory at Sea is a war monument located near Ramakrishna Beach and was built in 1971 by the Indian Navy to commemorate the demolition of Ghazi (Pakistani submarine) during the Indo Pak war. The memorial is located opposite the Submarine Museum. Near the memorial, there is a tank, a few bombs, missiles and a fighter plane. The memorial is dedicated to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives while protecting the country. Source : h
