One of the most recreational and adventurous outdoor activities of all - River Rafting. Considered an extreme sport, the level of risk can vary from minimal to a lot depending on the run that one is undertaking. It is also known as white water rafting. To envigorate the raft passenger it is usually done on white water or rough waters of different degrees. It became popular as a leisure sport since the mid 70's. Rafting is done on an inflatable boat which is made of layers of fabrics of either rubber or vinyl with many air chambers. These rafts are of different shapes and sizes while symmetrical raft being the most common one.
