In the village of Anand in Gujarat, was born such Gandhian dream. It began as modest milk producers cooperative collecting about 200 milk liters a day. During the last 50years, it is transformed into a corporate story, collecting over 1million liters of milk every day and producing butter and related products under the brand name of Amul. The story of Amul has been replicated in many other parts of the country offering a model which truly emphasizes the Gandhian approach to the economy. Dr. Verghese Kurien and the Amul story.
