A monumental multi-tiered stone fountain stands along the landscaped lawns of Kartavya Path near India Gate in New Delhi, India. Water cascades from the smaller upper scalloped bowl into the larger middle tier and then into the surrounding pool. A slender reddish-brown sandstone obelisk rises from the center of the fountain. Manicured trees and Central Vista structures are visible in the background beneath a clear sky, with construction cranes faintly visible in the distance.
