Plains settlers set up home in Arunachal Pradesh. In recent months, the issue of Assamese and Bangladeshi settlers has come to the fore, with tension between local Arunachali state residents and settlers, both in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. Viewer Karken Riba tells us that "those houses belong to miya, Bangladeshi or non-tribals residing in our state. There's not a single Arunachali house in this video. The local Arunachali houses look beautiful, clean and attractive compared to all these slums. (sic)". This shows the level of discomfort that some local residents have to the outsiders coming in and living in their state.
