The tomb of Mohammed Shah, the third ruler of the Sayyid dynasty of the Delhi Sultanate, is the oldest tomb in the Lodhi Gardens. It was built in 1444 by his son Ala-ud-din Alam Shah as a tribute to Mohammed Shah. The tomb is octagonal in shape and is a combination of Hindu and Islamic architecture styles, with numerous ornamental Hindu-style chhatris around the central dome, arches, verandahs and sloping buttresses. The main tomb is supported by a 16-sided drum and is surrounded by chhatris capped by lotus finials. (Wikipedia).
