The Snow Lion or Senggey Garcham Dance as performed by TIPA (Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts), in New Delhi. In Tibet the snow lion symbolized the fearless and elegant quality of the enlightened mind. When a healthy and harmonious environment is established by the creative activities of human beings, such as through the performance of sacred purification and healing music, all living beings, here represented by the snow lion, rejoice. The popular Tibetan folk dance combines both singing and dancing. During the dance they wear specific Tibetan long gowns and posses a beauty known as the "Same Direction".
