Ethnic wear showcased by tribals of Chothe and Moyon from Chandel district during Sangai festival in Manipur. Chothe tribe: Chothe tribes are primarily found in the Chandel District of Manipur. They are closely associated with the Naga tribes. The word 'Chothe' literally refers to 'to bring or to hold a boy.' This tribal community is also identified by the names like Chothe, Chowte, Chawte. Moyon tribe: Moyon tribes reside in the north-eastern provinces of Indian subcontinent. They are concentrated in the south-eastern part of Manipur, particularly in the Chandel District. The origination of the word Moyon has a story behind it. In fact, it is named after a village, namely, Moyon Khullen. It is known as Bujuur.
