Film viewers come to Mumbai see a film called 'Girlfriend' which has been banned and so the screenings have been cancelled. The audience is aggrieved and upset that their visit to Bombay is now useless for they cannot see the movie any longer. The Shiv Sena is said to have banned the film for vulgarity, despite movie hall tickets having been sold to the potential audience. Political or other pressures lead to censorship of a Hindi movie, and its banning across India. Girlfriend is an Indian Hindi film released on 11 June 2004. The film was written and directed by Karan Razdan and produced by Pammi Baweja.
