Uttarakhand's Jatoli village hosts a gaggle of White throated Laughing Thrushes in the early winter, when there is a shortage of air-borne insects and bugs need to be searched for in hidden places. The White-throated Laughingthrush (Garrulax albogularis) is a species of bird in the Leiothrichidae family. It is found mainly in the northern regions of the Indian Subcontinent, primarily the Himalayas, and some adjoining and disjunct areas. It ranges across Afghanistan, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Tibet and Vietnam. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.
