Tawang town is the headquarter of the Tawang district in Arunachal Pradesh. At an altitude of 3048 metres above sea level, Tawang is a very beautiful hill station which though lesser known but manages to attract the curious tourists. It is the place of location of the world famous Tawang Monastery.
