Churchgate is still an important location in Mumbai or Bombay as it was in the days of the British Raj. The Churchgate Railway station is a converging point for suburban trains known as Mumbai local trains. Thousands exiting the railway station on their way to work or coming back from work. The slum areas near the footpath. Men and children selling snacks to the thousands commuting here. Cars fill the streets near the beach as people get ready to go to work. Thousands walk past the advertisement hoardings of companies which were the frontrunners in automobiles, television and even cigarettes.
